Bitwise Designs Inc. plans to establish a business incubator to nurture fledgling companies involved in preventing fraud on the World Wide Web.

John Botti, chief executive officer of the 15-year-old computer company, announced plans Wednesday to begin construction by summer on a $2 million, 40,000-square-foot facility that would become the new home for 12 to 15 small companies within a year. Most of the companies would employ a handful of people, though one or two firms could employ 20 or so, Botti said.
