NSW; Council worker hit by car
A Sydney council worker is critically ill after being hit by a car as he collected garbage.
New South Wales police say the 52-year-old man was collecting bins in Arthur Steet,in Strathfield, about 2.30 am (AEST) when he was hit by a Toyota Camry sedan.
The man's been taken to Concord Hospital with head injuries.
A 47-year-old man is assisting police with their inquiries into the incident.
