Brazil: Damaged fuselage cancels Air France flight

Air France says a Sao Paulo-Paris flight had to be canceled because of damage in the aircraft's fuselage.

It was the third incident in less than a week involving an Air France passenger jet.

Air France spokeswoman Leticia Lyra says the damage was detected during a routine check on the runway on Thursday. She declined to specify what the damage was, but it was repaired a day later, allowing all 227 passengers to reach Paris.

On Tuesday an Air France Rio-to-Paris flight was forced to return to Brazil because of malfunctioning bathrooms and on July 10, a bomb threat forced a Paris-bound Air France jet bound to make an emergency landing in northeastern Brazil.
